Souvenir (2019) solo exhibition at Terminal08 in Gorzów Wlkp., PL

After an extremely long time since the last performances, we can peek into the wardrobe and even sneak onstage to take a close look at the set design and souvenirs left behind from the performer’s shows.

The installation is an auto-fictional narrative about the career of a historical freak who played the role of a woman with a wing. Reaching to the roots of contemporary entertainment and celebrity culture, the artist talks about the identity connected to her own disabled body with the help of the convention of memorabilia left after behind by a freak performer. 

The object is inspired by birdcage ladders from pet store websites scaled into human dimensions and is accompanied by a carte de visite format portrait and Captain Hook custom made costume.
